Orbit
The Orbit Mode is the default navigation mode when loading a model in RIM-Nat. This mode allows users to explore a 3D model by rotating around a central point.
Controls
In Orbit mode, navigation is one-handed, using only the mouse:
- Left-click and drag: Rotates the model around its center of rotation while maintaining the orientation of the Z-axis.
- Double left-click: Moves the rotation point to the clicked area and zooms in on this area of interest.
- Right-click and drag: Pans the model within the current view plane.
- Mouse wheel: Zooms in or out.
Recommended Use Cases
Orbit mode is recommended for:
- Model Navigation: Orbit mode is optimized for navigating around the model, allowing users to maintain an overview while moving easily through different parts of the scene.
- Analysis and Annotation: This mode is particularly well-suited for taking measurements and working on the 3D model.
