Create an Access Share

To share projects on RIM-Nat, it is possible to create an access share, which involves generating an invitation token that includes specific capabilities.
This token enables users to obtain access permissions on one or more projects defined in the share.

Conditions for Creating a Share

⚠️
Important: Only users with the following roles can create a project share: portal administrator, portal project manager, project manager, or project collaborator.
More information: roles and capabilities.

Steps to Create an Access Share

  1. Access the Shares Section on the Portal:

    • Navigate to the Shares section.
    • Note: If this section is not visible, it means you do not have the necessary rights to share the projects on this portal.
  2. Create a New Share:

    • Click on Create a New Share to open the creation form.
    • Select Projects to Share: Choose the available projects for which you have sharing capabilities. If no projects appear, it means you lack the required permissions.
  3. Configure Access Capabilities:

    • Validity Dates: Define a start and end date for the share.
    • Specific Capabilities: Select capabilities (e.g., visualization, layer management, etc.) according to the access rights required for each shared project.
  4. Optional Limitation Settings:

    • Maximum Number of Uses: Set how many times the token can be used, thus limiting the number of users with access.
    • Password: To enhance security, configure a password that must be entered to activate the token.
    • Expiration Date of the Share Link: Specify a deadline for the link’s use. Once expired, it will no longer be valid, regardless of the project access dates set.
  5. Validate and Generate the Token:
